June, Milwaukee, WisconsinFor over 40 years Milwaukee has celebrated Summerfest, the 11-day musical extravaganza recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as “The World’s Largest Music Festival”. Every year in a two-week period over the 4th of July, Summerfest delivers an unforgettable live music experience, showcasing the top touring talent on the planet to approximately 900,000 music fans from around the world.

Summerfest takes place at the beautifully landscaped, 75-acre Henry Maier Festival Park on Milwaukee’s spectacular downtown Lake Michigan shoreline. The festival offers something for all musical tastes on 11 permanent stages with state-of-the-art sound technology, including the 23,000-seat Marcus Amphitheater with its stunning lake view.
The Summerfest music line-up features over 700 performances by today’s hottest national touring acts, emerging talent and everything in between. On any given day, attendees can enjoy national alternative rock, country, R&B, Top 40, Hip Hop, Reggae headliners and more.
There’s more than just great music at Summerfest! Families and kids can enjoy interactive exhibits and displays, children’s performers and attractions, professional sports demonstrations, comedy acts and video and technology pavilions. Shopping at four extensive marketplaces features handcrafted wares, jewelry, ethnic crafts, clothing and souvenirs from around the world.
The grounds also host 45 different food and beverage vendors, offering a wide variety of delectable cuisine. A smorgasbord of the area’s finest restaurants serve mouth-watering fare, including handmade, fresh sausages and grilled specialties, along with Irish, German and Italian delicacies. A more upscale sit-down table service features an assortment of delicious appetizers, steak, poultry and seafood entrees, late night small plates and desserts, a variety of wines and gorgeous lakeshore views.
The most amazing aspect of the event is the very low admission price. Fans can purchase low-priced tickets valid for admission on any weekday between prior to 4pm and a variety of admission promotions are available on specific dates and times. Marcus Amphitheater tickets are sold separately and include admission to Summerfest.
