The Vectren Dayton Air Show
Dayton is the Birthplace of Aviation and home of the powered flight inventors Wilbur and Orville Wright.
Today Ohio celebrates its stronghold in the world of flight and the likes of the Wright brothers who put it there. Born in Dayton, Orville and Wilbur Wright are credited as the first people to successfully build a working airplane.
Part of the celebration of the states’ aviation heritage, Dayton is home to The Vectren Dayton Air Show, the Dayton region's biggest annual outdoor event. More than entertainment, it showcases the region's aviation heritage and aerospace community.

The Vectren Dayton Air Show attracts unique static aircraft from all branches of the military as well civilian and vintage aircraft. The Air Show grounds are filled with aircraft and other displays, many of which guests can walk through and tour.
The air show industry recognizes the Dayton Air Show as one of North America’s premier events. It draws top performers and exhibits and nearly every year boasts the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds or the U.S. Navy Blue Angels as its headline act.
While the Dayton region’s tradition of air shows dates back to the Wright Company’s exhibition team on Huffman Prairie, the current air show has taken place on Dayton International Airport every year since 1975.
Also part of the celebration of the flight heritage of Ohiois The US Air Trade, and Technology Conference and Exposition (USATT) bringing together prime contractors, subcontractors, academia, the US government, allied governments, and the commercial sector to discuss issues pertinent to Aerospace industry. The program will take place the week before the Dayton Air Show and include conference tracks, keynote presenters, breakout presenters, four panel discussions, and exhibitors.
