German Village Haus und Garten Tour
A popular event for over half a century, the German Village Haus und Garten Tour, attracting more than 6,000 visitors, is held in various homes and gardens of the historic neighborhood of German Village. Having now become one of the main Columbus Ohio US events, it displays award winning house designs and restorations as well as gardening demonstrations, the ever popular Marketplatz offering unique home and garden accessories, and members of the Central Ohio Watercolor Society painting their masterpieces for the annual watercolor competition.

Red, White, and Boom!
Everyone celebrating Independence Day in Columbus gathers downtown on the riverfront for the Red, White, and Boom! event that is recognized as offering the Midwest’s largest fireworks display. The fun of the event begins in the early afternoon with several different concerts at various locations and then the Ohio National Guard flyover and Independence Day Parade at 6pm, followed by the fireworks display at 10pm after which various entertainment venues reopen and carry on.

The largest Hispanic/Latino event in Ohio, this free family-friendly event celebrates Latin American culture with two days of family and adult oriented activities. Music events (which include Tango dance classes) showcase salsa, mambo, flamenco, merengue and conjunto music and dance performances by leading national and international Latino artists. Ohio Renaissance Festival

Harveysburg – between Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio
One of Ohio’s premier family events, the Ohio Renaissance Festival takes place in an authentically re-created, 30-acre, 16th Century English village. Attracting Queen Elizabeth I herself, entertainment includes everything from full-armored jousting between knights in shining armor to costumed performers displaying Renaissance music, dancing, juggling, sword-fighting and more. Food available includes everything with Renaissance flavors, from giant turkey legs to bread bowl stews, and more than 135 master artisans and crafters offer everything from jewelry to items of demonstrated glass blowing and leather crafting.

Ohio Statehouse Holiday Festival and Open House
Heralding the start of the holiday season, this event is part of a tradition that began almost a hundred years ago in 1915. Beginning with the arrival of Santa Claus by helicopter at the Ohio Statehouse in the early evening, the event continues inside the Ohio Statehouse and features all sorts of fun activities, from the Santa and Mrs Claus photo station to shows on the Ground Level Stage, carols performed by various, well known choirs, and all sorts of fun for children.
