United Tribes International Powwow
September
Bismarck, North Dakota

The Powwow is held annually in the Lone Star Arena at United Tribes Technical College, one of the premier Tribal Colleges in the United States, and has become one of the premier cultural events of North Dakota, receiving numerous awards over the years.

Representing over 70 tribes, featuring over 1500 dancers and drummers, and drawing over 20,000 spectators the Powwow has become a must-see event featuring "Champion" dancers and singers from the US and Canada competing for top honors.

Norsk Høstfest
September
East Minot, North Dakota

A tradition for over 30 years, the annual Norsk Høstfest, North America’s largest Scandinavian festival, takes place at at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds in east Minot.

Norsk Høstfest celebrates the heritage and culture of the five Nordic countries with entertainment and Nordic food (from family booths to gourmet restaurants) clothes, art and jewelry. More than 200 internationally recognized artisans, craftsmen and chefs participate.

Medora Musical
May - September
Medora, North Dakota

Billed as the "Greatest Show in the West" the Medora Musical is held in the outdoor splendor of the Burning Hills Amphitheatre in the North Dakota Badlands. .

Named one of ABA's Top 100 Events for 2008, this western musical variety show is great family entertainment, full of high-energy song and dance routines, yodeling and clog dancing, and a star-spangled, patriotic finale.

A portion of the show is dedicated to 26th US President, Theodore Roosevelt.

North Dakota State Fair

Minot, North Dakota

The North Dakota State Fair features the best in entertainment including 10 free stages, 3 nights of rodeo, 3 nights of auto events, big name entertainment in the grandstand, a carnival, over 46,000 competitive exhibits, 600 commercial vendors, livestock shows and special contests.

This 9-day spectacular continues to be the largest annual event held in North Dakota, attracting nearly one quarter of a million people.

Mandan Rodeo Days Celebration

Downtown Mandan and Dacotah Centennial Park City, North Dakota

Named one of the "Top 100 Events in America" by the North American Bus Tours Association, this annual, three-day PRCA rodeo offers three action-packed professional rodeo performances.

Also featured are Art In the Park, concerts, a carnival, dancing, baseball, pithfork fondue, 10-K and 5-K road races, golf tourney, all class reunion and the biggest and best Fourth of July parade and fireworks celebration in the Northern Plains.

Fargo Marathon

Grand Cities Art Fest

McQuade Charity Softball Tournament

The USA's largest charity, one weekend slow pitch softball tournament was founded in 1976. Today the tournament has become one of Bismarck's - if not North Dakota's largest events.

Teams travel from as far away as Washington, California, Colorado, Missouri, Nevada and Michigan, as well as from 2 Canadian Provinces to take part.

Red River Valley Fair

The Red River Valley Fair at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds is a nine-day event featuring the Murphy Brothers Carnival, top name concerts, tractor pull, demo derby, and car racing.
