Tribeca Film Festival

Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit

NYC Pride March

Museum Mile Festival

More than 50,000 people take advantage of this 3-hour event that closes the 23-mile stretch of Fifth Avenue and offers free access to many of New York’s major art institutions, including the Guggenheim, the Met and the Museum of the City of New York. Macy’s Firework Spectacular
4th July

top 4th July celebrations festivals in the USAA popular event for more than 35 years, and one of the main New York City Area US events, the Macy’s Firework Spectacular celebrating the 4th July attracts more than 2-million people each year with some of the world’s largest firework displays set off by four barges stationed between 23rd and 42nd Streets in the East River. There are electric set pieces on the barges, and the New York Fire Department joins in with fire boats shooting red, clear, and blue water 300 feet over the river.

Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest

Attracting 40,000 amused and fascinated revelers in person and nearly 2-million viewers on television, Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, a fun attraction for almost one hundred years, is now known as the “granddaddy of all pig-out contests”. Professionals compete gorging on as many hot dogs as they can in ten minutes. The current record is 68 hotdogs in ten minutes.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Starting in 1924 as Macy’s Christmas Parade with animals from the Central Park Zoo, this popular event now attracts more than 2.5-million people and another 44-million tune in to watch the balloons, floats, bands and celebrities in the most spectacular Thanksgiving holiday celebration in the world. The three hour parade trails from 77th Street down Central Park West to Columbus Circle, then down Broadway to Herald Square.

Macy's Parade and Events has also been distinguished by the “IFEA World Festival & Event City” award, a popular and distinguished award, in existence for over 56 years, that has been awarded to cities and their events that have made a significant contribution to the Festivals and Events Industry and a profound difference in the communities they serve.
