Celebration of the Arts

A popular event for more than twenty years, the East Maui Taro Festival in and around the town of Hana celebrates the Taro plant that is considered to be one of the most important of life force enhancing foods. Highlights of this two day event include lectures and demonstrations about the Taro plant and its uses in poi pounding demonstrations and special recipes using the Taro plant, as well as a tent dedicated to more information, a farmers' market, food stalls, arts and crafts vendors, and live entertainment including music and hula.

Maui Onion Festival
Whaler's Village, Lahaina – Maui, Hawaii
