Tallahassee Marathon

top marathon events in the USAOne of the most popular of the top 20 North Florida USA events and festivals, and a tradition for almost 40 years, the annual Tallahassee Marathon and Half Marathon utilizes the flat and fast St Marks Trail from the Florida State University’s football stadium to Florida State University and offers finishing medals for both half-marathon and marathon finishers. The event also includes guest speakers and local artists.

Springtime Festival
Tallahassee, North Central Florida

Springtime Tallahassee produces one of the largest festivals in the Southeast and is voted one of the top 20 Events in the Sunshine State. It is also one of the main North Florida US events and festivals which includes a Parade with over 70,000 participants, Jubilee in the Park featuring hand crafted items, a Children's Park, four local entertainment stages, and national entertainment acts.

Tallahassee Jazz and Blues Festival
late March
Tallahassee, North Central Florida

The two-day event features performances of traditional and contemporary jazz and blues, including R&B, Dixieland jazz, swing, fusion, and rockin' contemporary blues all presented on the Tallahassee Museum's outdoor stage. The festival also showcases blues-related films, readings and a host of related get-togethers for those keen on jazz and blues music.

Springing the Blues Festival

Named by Downbeat Magazine as one of the top 50 Music Festivals in the World, the award-winning Springing The Blues, attracting thousands of enthusiasts, is a three-day, free, outdoor blues music festival featuring a host of famous blues artists.

Jacksonville Jazz Festival

top jazz events nd jazz festivals in the USA USAThe second largest, and considered one of the best jazz festivals in the US, the Jacksonville Jazz Festival weekend is a street festival held in the heart of downtown Jacksonville. Part of the fun is The Great American Jazz Piano competition, Art in the Heart Art Show & Sale and Wine Down: A Wine Tasting Experience. Past artists include Dizzy Gillespie, Roberta Flack, Boney James, Miles Davis, George Benson, the Count Basie Orchestra, Diana Krall, Herbie Hancock, Chris Botti, Rippingtons, Kenny G, and Harry Connick Jr.

Florida Folk Festival
late May
White Springs, Florida

Top Folk Music Festivals in the USAAn annual festival of music, food, and traditional arts celebrating the Sunshine State's many folk cultures and traditions, the Florida Folk Festival began in 1953 in White Springs and has since become one of the nation's oldest continuous folk festivals and one of the main North Florida US events and festivals. Held at the Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park, the festival showcases talent on more than five stages. Attractions include folk life demonstration areas, food booths, and activity areas.

Fiesta of Five Flags

The Fiesta of Five Flags, an organization which celebrates the founding of Pensacola (the first European settlement in the United States), plans and produces over 20 events throughout the year (with many of them in May and June). These events are designed to appeal to all ages and interests, as well as promote tourism for the area. The five flags are a reference to the different flags that have, at some time, been flown over Pensacola: Spanish, French, British, Confederate, and American.

4th July Celebrations in Jacksonville
4th July
Jacksonville, Northeast Florida

top 4th July celebrations festivals in the USAHeld at the city's Metropolitan Park, the Jacksonville 4th of July celebrations include a free concert featuring national recording artists and concludes with Skyblast, the First Coast's spectacular 4th of July fireworks display over the St Johns River. Top Folk Music Festivals in the USAThe annual music festival at the oak-shaded grounds of the Tallahassee Museum showcases outdoor performances by the supreme singer-songwriters of the Sunshine State folk music elite. The Swamp Stomp also features outdoor games, close-up animal encounters, living history demonstrations, and environmental education activities.

Pensacola Beach Air Show

top airshow events  in the USAThe Navy’s famous flight demonstration squadron, the Blue Angels, are joined by an exhilarating line-up during the annual Pensacola Beach Air Show, the biggest event of the year in Pensacola and one of the Top 20 North Florida USA Events and Festivals. Thousands of visitors flock to Pensacola Beach in July and Pensacola Naval Air Station in November to watch the world-famous Blue Angels practice awe-inspiring aerial maneuvers in the skies above. The Blue Angels practice most Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at the Pensacola Naval Air Station, from March to November.

Frenchtown Heritage Fest

Created to bring the Frenchtown community together and to celebrate its heritage, the Frenchtown Heritage Fest takes place in the heart of Frenchtown, and offers food, arts, crafts, ethnic art, food and entertainment as well as health/wellness information and screenings.

Downtown Festival & Art Show

Attracting more than 100,000 people each October, the nationally recognized Downtown Festival & Art Show that has been a success for over 30 years in downtown Gainesville features the work of more than 250 of the most talented artists in the USA. Art on display (and for sale) in the historic downtown area of Gainesville includes everything from works in oil, acrylic and water paint, sculptures, photography, ceramics and jewelry.

Featuring almost 100 decorated boats cruising the downtown riverfront attracting more than the 200,000 fans, the Jacksonville Light Parade has been celebrating the festive season ever since it began more than 25 years ago.

The Winter Festival - A Celebration of Lights, Music and the Arts

A premier holiday event in Tallahassee and surrounding counties, The Winter Festival - A Celebration of Lights, Music and the Arts has been a tradition for over 22 years and attracts more than 150,000 visitors each year. Highlights include the traditional Lighting Ceremony, the Jingle Bell Run and the fabulous Nighttime Holiday Parade, highlighted by Santa and Mrs. Claus riding in one of the City of Tallahassee Fire Department's shiny, red fire trucks.

New Year’s Eve

Downtown Jacksonville says farewell to the old year and brings in the new with the Gator Bowl Parade with a huge selection of floats, giant helium balloons and marching bands.
