Many well-known musicians, such as Patti LaBelle, Basia, Chris Botti, Bernie Williams, Spyro Gyra and Buckwheat Zydeco, have performed at this very popular festival.
National and International performers can be found at this festival as well as plenty of local and regional favorites. Enjoy a live talent showcase and contest with the Generation Next Youth Talent Competition, where one lucky winner will receive a $1,000 savings bond. The party continues into the early morning hours with the ‘Round Midnight Jazz Jam, consisting of both amateur performers and skilled professionals. Musicians of all ages are encouraged to bring along their instruments and join in the fun. And what is a festival without a parade? The excitement grows when the Jazz Parade winds through downtown city streets.
With the sound of jazz in your ears, you can enjoy the delicious food, beverages and fun activities. To keep the jazz alive, many local businesses and restaurants support the festival by providing discounts and specials to jazz lovers and VIPs. Jazz Brunches and the Wine Down, a wine tasting experience, offer more opportunity to revel in the festival atmosphere. Feel free to sample a few wines or all of them!
